This position is an opportunity for new college graduate to work on conceptualizing and productizing semiconductor-based electronic devices that bridge real world (analog) signals to (digital) cloud. You will be part of global manufacturing organization that is functionalizing sensing of physical work and converting them to digital signals for intelligent processing.  On a day-to-day basis, this position requires you to make tradeoff decision in multiple dimensions such as time-to-market, reliability, cost, and communication with engineering teams across different countries in Asia and Europe. 

As an engineer, the broad areas that you are expected to work on are as follows:

  • Work with cross-functional team to develop advanced system packaging solutions that include industrial design, material selections, manufacturing flow, qualification, and release-to-manufacturing.
  • Ability to collate information with appropriate supporting data and present it into a coherent report for communication and distribution.
  • Manage projects through development of design iterations, substrate layout/simulation, assembly of prototypes, and qualifications
  • Document manufacturing process flows and control plans at the company's external suppliers.
  • Design and execute experiments using DOE, FMEA and statical analysis to characterize and improve process stability and yields. Drive root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for complex processes and integration issues
  • Communicate complex engineering ideas to global teams in simple and effective ways but rooted in engineering principles.
  • Work closely with suppliers in different time zones to ensure development and manufacturing flow are aligned to project-level deliverables

 Qualifications

  • Minimum of master's degree in engineering (mechanical engineering or manufacturing engineering).
  • Must have hands-on experience with the ability to perform deep dive in 3D CAD tools (e.g. SolidWorks)
  • Required to have educational background in fundamentals of materials and their mechanical behavior. Ability to apply them in mechanical design when needed.
  • Prior internship experience would be distinct advantage in areas industrial design, manufacturing of Medical Devices, Systems, and Biosensors.
  • During the interview process, must be able to demonstrate engineering aptitude with learning mindset, analytical skills, and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be able to show awareness to project management skills related to tracking and schedule compliance.
