The Director of Communications & Impact will be responsible for the development and implementation of both external and internal communications strategies for Communities In Schools of the Heart of Texas.

Requirements

RESPONSIBILITES

  • Collaborate with the CEO in developing the communications strategy.
  • Work as a collaborator with the CEO & Board of Directors in leading the organization through impact and outcome focused growth and innovation.
  • Develop and implement organization-wide communications plan.
  • Oversee all social media, including organization's website.
  • Oversee fundraising database and tracking systems.
  • Assist CEO in grant development efforts.

EDUCATION

Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing or a related field.   

EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive leadership experience in communications, marketing, and/or journalism.
  • Experience managing website content and using WordPress or other content management systems.
  • Excellent writing and oral presentation skills required.
  • Experience with donor databases and software.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess effectiveness of public relations.
  • Must complete and clear Criminal Background Check.
