High School Chemistry Tutor (Part-Time / Flexible Hours)

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic High School Chemistry Tutor to help students strengthen their understanding of chemistry and boost their academic performance.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys teaching and wants flexible, rewarding work helping motivated students thrive in the subject in high school.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one or small group (2-3 students) tutoring sessions in high school chemistry (general, honors, and/or AP).
• Simplify challenging topics such as bonding, reactions, chemical equations and lab concepts.
• Help students prepare for tests, labs, and homework assignments.
• Adapt lessons to meet each student's learning style and goals.
• Track student progress and communicate feedback to parents or guardians.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (completed or currently pursuing) in Chemistry, Education, or a relevant field.
• Strong communication skills and a passion for helping students learn.
• Preferable to have had prior tutoring or teaching experience in high school chemistry (AP Chemistry experience is a plus).
• Reliable, patient, and able to work independently.
• Comfortable using whiteboards and leading group discussions.
• Flexible scheduling - afternoons, evenings, and weekends available.
• Work with motivated students in a supportive environment.
