Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitorial professional to maintain cleanliness and safety across our facilities. This role is vital in ensuring a hygienic, organized, and welcoming environment for employees, clients, and visitors. The ideal candidate will have experience in various cleaning and custodial tasks, with a strong focus on quality and efficiency. Prior janitorial, custodial, or facilities maintenance experience is preferred, especially in commercial or industrial settings. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where attention to detail and reliability are highly valued.

Duties

  • Perform general cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal across multiple areas of the facility
  • Maintain floors through buffing, polishing, and other floor care techniques to ensure a professional appearance
  • Clean restrooms, kitchens, and common areas to meet health and safety standards
  • Conduct specialized cleaning tasks such as carpet cleaning or window washing as needed
  • Restock supplies such as paper towels, soap, and other consumables to ensure continuous availability
  • Assist with minor maintenance tasks including light repairs or reporting larger issues to maintenance teams
  • Ensure all cleaning equipment is properly maintained and stored after use
  • Follow safety protocols and use appropriate personal protective equipment during all cleaning activities

Skills

  • Proven experience in janitorial services or custodial work within commercial or industrial environments
  • Knowledge of cleaning techniques including floor care (buffing, stripping), carpet cleaning, and general sanitation practices
  • Ability to operate cleaning machinery such as buffers or extractors effectively
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness
  • Good organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently throughout the shift
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while adhering to safety guidelines
  • Physical stamina for standing, bending, lifting (up to 50 pounds), and performing repetitive motions during shifts
  • Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and reporting issues promptly
