Dental Office Manager

SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:
The Dental Office Manager ensures fundamental systems and protocols are in place within the dental office, allowing the Doctor to focus on delivering optimal patient care.
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:
The Manager will maintain the office budget to achieve profitability, build positive relationships with the dentist, regional manager and dental team members, manage schedules to meet daily dentistry goals and assume a leadership role in motivating office team members and proactively seeking ways to improve the dental practice.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Actively leads and participates in the morning huddle
- Set an example of exemplary customer service
- Explain financial obligations and payment options
- Review new patient accounts for accuracy
- Process EOB's daily
- Review schedules for productivity on a daily basis and weekly basis
- Ensure all provider charges are posted correctly
- Ensure daily deposits are completed on time with accuracy
- Train team and ensure effective customer service skills
- Responsible for meeting the minimum monthly performance goals
- Respond to both general dentistry and specialty patients and patient complaints in a timely and professional manner
- Professionalism and leadership
- Reside as the expert on basic job knowledge such as filing insurance claims, cash management, office software, insurance verification and insurance linkage
- Prepare and process referrals
- Order office supplies
- Adhere to HIPAA privacy policy
- Time clock management – clear flags and adjust hours, approve staff timecards on a weekly basis
- Coordinate daily staffing per schedules
- Recognize staff accomplishments
- Document employee performance and inter-office conflict confidentially
- Conduct employee performance evaluations with doctor and RM
SKILLS AND SPECIFICATIONS:
- Ability to write clearly, concisely, logically, and legibly
- Demonstrate accuracy in spelling and basic mathematics
- Speak, understand and write grammatically correct English
- Excellent customer service and phone etiquette skills
- Demonstrate thorough knowledge of Dentistry including dental terminology, technology, health maintenance, procedures
- Knowledge of insurance plans and payment/collection processes
Maintain a professional demeanor at all times
- Demonstrates exceptional human relation skills
- Ability to assess issues and seek resolutions
- Computer proficiency and the ability to learn new programs
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 3 years Office Manager experience
- Open Dental knowledge preferred
- Office Bonus-Unlimited earning potential available
Job Type: Full-time
