Software Engineer

The opportunity
: Paving is a $150B+ industry still running on spreadsheets and whiteboards. We have the product. We have customers who love us. Now we're bringing AI to an industry that builds the backbone of American infrastructure—and we need your help to drive this transformation.

We're looking for a highly motivated and experienced Software Engineer to join OneCrew's quickly growing team. You'll play an instrumental role in defining and building out the product and platform with the co-founders and engineering team as we scale our customer base.

Location:
This role is based in San Francisco with expected 3+ days in-office weekly at our FiDi office.

What you'll do

Focus: building intuitive, high-performing frontend experiences that make complex contractor workflows feel effortless.

• Design, build, and ship new features that help paving contractors estimate jobs, manage crews, and track profitability—powered by AI that learns from their data—all from a modern, unified interface
• Bring AI-powered intelligence to life through intuitive interfaces—making complex features like automated estimating, predictive analytics, and smart recommendations feel effortless and trustworthy
• Collaborate across product, design, and backend teams to turn ideas into production-ready experiences that delight users and drive measurable impact
• Champion performance, accessibility, and reliability, ensuring our frontend stays fast, secure, and resilient as we scale
• Contribute to design systems and component libraries that bring consistency and polish to everything we ship
• Continuously improve how we build: enhance development workflows, testing, and release processes for smoother, faster iteration
• Shape our culture of craftsmanship and collaboration—your voice matters in how we work and what we build next

Qualifications

• 4-8+ years of software engineering experience in a high velocity environment
• Expert with web and frontend technologies including TypeScript, React, , and CSS
• Authorized to work in US
