Job Title: General Elementary Tutor (Math & Reading) – Grades K–5

Location: Miami, FL (In-person and virtual) , Ability to commute to North Miami & Miami Gardens area preferred.

Start Date: Early November 2025 (between Nov.3 and Nov.10)

About the Role:

We are seeking a passionate and qualified Elementary Tutor to support students in grades K–5 with their math and reading needs. Tutors will provide high-quality, one-on-one or small group instruction tailored to each student's academic goals. Sessions may take place virtually or in person at a mutually convenient location.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging, individualized instruction in math and reading for students in grades K–5.
  • Adapt teaching strategies to meet students' needs and learning styles.
  • Track student progress and provide feedback to clients and program coordinators.
  • Participate in periodic team meetings and training workshops (paid).

Requirements:

  • Taken and passed at least 2 college-level math courses and 2 college-level English courses with no less than a B.
  • Holds a valid Florida Teacher Certification in Elementary Education, or has extensive documented experience working with students in grades K–5 in both math and reading.
  • Ability to pass a background check.
  • Reliable, professional, and committed to student success.
  • Reliable transportation.

Compensation & Time Commitment:

  • Pay: $28–$32/hour, depending on education and experience (formal classroom teaching experience preferred).
  • Pay-per-session position; hours may vary week-to-week.
  • Minimum availability: 10 hours per week. However, you are not guaranteed to receive 10 hours of tutoring on your schedule per week. It may fluctuate heavily depending on the company's needs/student enrollment.
  • Tutors set their own schedule in coordination with clients.

Additional Details:

  • Proof of college transcripts and/or teacher certification required upon selection.
  • Some sessions may occur via Zoom; in-person sessions may require travel to libraries, campuses, coffee shops, or clients' homes.
  • Tutors will participate in periodic virtual or in-person team meetings to debrief performance and plan for upcoming events.
