The University of Washington Office of Admissions has an outstanding opportunity for an International Admissions Specialist to work with international freshman, transfer, and post baccalaureate applicants. Admissions, a unit within the Enrollment Management, supports the Provost as well as the University of Washington community.

The International Admissions team is seeking a talented individual who shares these values and is interested in joining a fast-paced work environment as an International Admissions Specialist to assist in the review and evaluation of a culturally diverse international applicant pool of over 10,000 freshman and transfer applicants annually. This position works under the direction the Assistant Director for International Processing.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Evaluate international and U.S. credentials and supporting application materials to determine admissibility to the University of Washington for all undergraduate classifications. 

  • Complete individual course-by-course evaluations of transfer credit and advanced high school college credit. 

  • Advise international applicants and students with regard to admission policies, procedures, and related concerns. Also, answer any questions regarding a variety of international admission and transfer credit related issues.

  • Participate and assist with training 6-8 temporary credential evaluators during freshman processing season.  

  • Visit local community colleges to advise prospective students regarding international transfer admissions (approximately 2-3 colleges per academic year); other projects, committee work, or duties as assigned.  

Minimum Requirements

Two years experience as a Credentials Evaluator II; OR two years of college and two years of experience in admissions, student advising or closely related area.

Equivalent education and/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license, certification, and/or registration. 

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree. 

  • Experience working with a student database system. 

  • Experience working with academic credentials outside the U.S.

Pay Range Minimum:

$45,288.00 annual

Pay Range Maximum:

$60,336.00 annual
