POSITION: Part-Time Food Service Worker (floating)

LOCATION: District Wide (rotating buildings depending on daily need)

HOURS: Monday through Friday; part-time–approximately 9:30 to 1:30, but dependent on school lunch schedule

SALARY: New employees: $18.10/hr ($17.60 x first 60 working days)

Current employees: per bargaining agreement

AVAILABILITY: Immediate

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • The ability to deal with students, faculty, parents, and staff in a courteous, professional manner
  • The ability to operate/learn to operate all kitchen equipment
  • The ability to perform duties such as general food prep, cleaning/sanitizing, etc.
  • The ability to work rapidly and efficiently in performing job duties
  • The ability to work well and maintain composure in faced paced environment
  • The ability to efficiently handle and record cash transactions
  • Excellent customer service a must

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare a variety of hot and cold breakfast and lunch items utilizing various methods and equipment
  • Serve meals to students and staff, demonstrating high level of customer service
  • Assist with completing records and logs as mandated by state and federal guidelines
  • Use proper sanitation and safety procedures
  • Maintain knowledge of National School Breakfast and Lunch Program regulations
  • Utilize computerized point of sale system for student transactions
  • Assist with receipt of food deliveries
  • May prepare or assist in preparing and setting up refreshments for special functions
