Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Purchasing Agent to support our manufacturing department by acquiring the necessary raw materials for our Machining Department. The role involves creating purchase orders for goods and items required both in the warehouse and the office. You will manage raw material vendors, ensuring efficient communication with our Management Team, and maintain stock and inventory levels, including re-orders. Additionally, you will record periodic inventory counts and ensure an adequate supply of materials is available at all times, maintaining traceability as per customer requirements.

Responsibilities

• Purchase raw materials needed for the Machining Department.
• Create purchase orders for goods and items required in the warehouse and office.
• Manage relationships with raw material vendors and communicate needs and issues to the Management Team.
• Control stock and inventory levels, including re-orders of commonly used items.
• Record periodic inventory counts.
• Maintain an adequate supply of materials and ensure traceability according to customer requirements.

• Experience with ERP systems
• Proficiency in data entry and purchase order management
• Basic computer skills, including Excel and ERP systems like Job Boss

Work Environment

This role requires frequent walking and standing. Employees must regularly lift and move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities are required, including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Work hours are flexible, with two options: 5:30am - 2pm or 7am - 3:30pm, Monday through Friday. Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Auburn, Washington.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $ $25.00/hr.
