Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for a Staff Tax Accountant, based in Queens County, NY, with flexibility for some remote work. Responsibilities include preparing and reviewing tax returns, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, and assisting with tax planning. The role also requires preparation and analysis of financial statements, supporting audits, and delivering accounting services in alignment with regulatory and operational needs.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Tax Compliance, Tax Preparation, and general tax-related tasks
  • Strong skills in creating, analyzing, and interpreting Financial Statements
  • Experience with Accounting principles and practices
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid work environment
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field (CPA or progress towards CPA certification is a plus)
  • Prior experience within public accounting or a comparable professional environment is preferred
