M&J is seeking a Construction Project Scheduler to provide critical scheduling, planning, and project controls support for WMATA's ongoing and upcoming capital improvement, maintenance, and infrastructure projects.

Salary: 

Based on experience the salary range is $90k - $125k annually.



Responsibilities

Develop and maintain detailed, resource-loaded schedules for construction, engineering, and maintenance projects in Primavera P6 and/or MS Project.Monitor project progress, identify potential schedule impacts, and prepare Time Impact Analysis (TIA) to assess delays and suggest mitigation strategies.Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure that project milestones are met on time and within budget.Utilize Earned Value Management (EVM) to assess project performance and provide accurate reporting of schedule, cost, and resource utilization.Analyze project delays and work with stakeholders to develop and submit delay claims and change orders as necessary.Ensure compliance with all contractual scheduling requirements, including timely submittal of baseline and updated schedules.Provide risk assessments and recommend corrective actions to avoid delays or overruns.Work with project managers and stakeholders to define project milestones, deliverables, dependencies, and critical paths.Monitor schedule progress and perform variance analysis to identify delays, risks, and recovery strategies.Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports summarizing schedule status, forecasts, and performance metricsCoordinate with cost estimators and financial analysts to align schedules with project budgets and forecasts.Regularly communicate schedule updates and changes to the project team and relevant stakeholders. Participate in project review meetings and provide scheduling expertise to support decision-making.Attend required meetings and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

A minimum of a bachelor's degree in engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.5+ years of experience in construction scheduling, specifically with Primavera P6.Proficiency in SQL, Excel (advanced), and data manipulation/cleansing techniques.Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse project teams and stakeholders.Experience supporting transportation, government, or public sector clients (WMATA experience is highly desirable).Knowledge of WMATA's systems, KPIs, and operational data frameworks.Certification in Project Management (PMP) or Scheduling Professional (PMI-SP).
