Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Hindu Speaking Caregiver to provide exceptional care and support to individuals in need of assistance. This role is vital in fostering a respectful, culturally sensitive environment where clients feel understood and valued. The ideal candidate will be fluent in Hindi or other Hindu languages, demonstrating a strong commitment to delivering personalized care that respects religious and cultural traditions. You will be instrumental in enhancing the quality of life for residents through attentive caregiving, effective communication, and compassionate support.

Must be CPR/First Aid Certified through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.

Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment such as Hoyer lifts when necessary
  • Monitor and record vital signs, patient observations, and changes in health status to ensure prompt response to any concerns
  • Prepare nutritious meals aligned with dietary needs and cultural preferences, ensuring proper food handling and cleanliness standards are maintained
  • Administer medications accurately following care plans while adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy and confidentiality
  • Provide companionship by engaging residents in culturally relevant conversations, spiritual activities, or social interactions in Hindu languages
  • Support residents with memory care needs such as Alzheimer's or dementia by implementing specialized techniques and maintaining a safe environment
  • Maintain a clean, organized living space for residents by performing light housekeeping tasks and ensuring infection control protocols are followed

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in home health, assisted living, nursing homes, or group home settings with a focus on senior or disability care
  • Knowledge of patient care procedures including CPR, first aid, medication administration, and vital signs monitoring

  • Strong communication skills in Hindi or other Hindu languages; ability to effectively listen and respond to residents' needs

  • Experience working within HIPAA guidelines to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality at all times
  • Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to improve the well-being of diverse populations through direct support and personalized caregiving
