Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Technician to join our service team. The ideal candidate will have dealership experience and a strong background in automotive diagnostics, electrical systems, and mechanical repairs. This role involves performing comprehensive vehicle maintenance and repairs on a variety of makes and models, including BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, Volkswagen, Porsche and Mini Cooper vehicles.

Duties

  • Diagnose and repair a wide range of automotive issues using advanced diagnostic tools and schematics
  • Perform vehicle maintenance services such as oil changes, brake repairs, and routine maintenance
  • Conduct complex repairs
  • Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other specialized automotive repair tools effectively
  • Perform wheel alignments and calibrate ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) for safety compliance
  • Inspect electrical systems, sensors, and wiring harnesses to identify faults and execute necessary repairs
  • Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams to accurately diagnose problems
  • Maintain detailed service records and document all repair procedures performed
  • Ensure all work complies with safety standards and manufacturer specifications
  • Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs needed and answering technical questions

Qualifications

  • Proven dealership or service technician experience with a strong background in automotive diagnostics and repair
  • Knowledge of automotive electrical systems, powertrain components, transmissions, and vehicle maintenance
  • Familiarity with Xentry(Mercedes), ISTA(BMW/Mini), ODIS(Audi/VW), or PIWIS(Porsche) is preferred
  • Proficiency with schematics, auto estimating software, hand tools, power tools, and other automotive repair equipment
  • Mechanical knowledge combined with excellent problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required
  • State of Michigan Automotive Mechanics License

Pay: $ $55.00 per hour
