Server Assistant Job Description

A Taste of Belgium SERVER ASSISTANT is responsible for delivering food to guests and further assisting all FOH team members by clearing and resetting tables as well as ensuring cleanliness in the dining and guest areas. This is a tipped position.

The Ideal Candidate will excel in the following areas

    Love working in a team environment to achieve goals and provide top-notch service

Teamwork

  • Work as a TEAM - assist in the service of ALL guests
  • Perform duties and side work to ensure the bistro opens on time
  • Perform all closing functions including side work and cleaning
    Restock and maintain supplies throughout the shift

Attention to detail

  • Ensure all orders are correct when delivering them to a table
  • Clear, bus and reset tables with speed and efficiency
  • Ensure excellent standards of cleanliness in the dining room; keep floors in dining room clean and free from debris
  • Assist dishwasher in scraping plates and stacking them
  • Restock glassware, ice and all other items needed in side station throughout shift
  • Know all tables and station numbers
    Control the wasting of inventory and supplies

Environmental Requirements

  • AM/PM and weekend availability
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time with periods of moving quickly, bending, lifting, and twisting
  • Ability to lift & carry up to 50 lbs.
    Abide by all TOB policies and procedures including the Grooming and Uniform guidelines
