Clinical Pharmacist I

As one of the largest Clinical Research Organizations in the world, we have four Early Phase Clinical Research Units in the UK and US.

We're looking for a Clinical Pharmacist to play a key role in supporting clinical trials and ensuring the safe and compliant handling of investigational products. This is a full-time, office-based position in Daytona Beach, FL.

If you join us, you will work with some of the world´s leading pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device companies in a vital stage of clinical development: establishing the safety, tolerability, and pharmacokinetics of a new drug.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

You will utilize your skills, knowledge, and clinical judgement to provide a high standard of clinical research.

Other key responsibilities:

• Partner with Sponsors to ensure pharmacy and dispensing capabilities meet study requirements.

• Review and contribute to study protocols, pharmacy manuals, and preparation documentation.

• Maintain compliance with regulatory standards and good dispensing practices.

• Oversee pharmacy equipment and manage routine preparation activities.

• Support Sponsor visits and foster strong professional relationships.

• All other duties as needed or assigned.

YOU NEED TO BRING…

• Registered Pharmacist or PharmD in applicable state.

• Fortrea may consider relevant and equivalent experience in lieu of educational requirements.

• 2 years in a pharmacy setting. Hospital setting preferred.

• Knowledge of GxP standards (GMP, GCP).

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Work Environment:

• Work is performed in a laboratory and/or a clinical environment with exposure to electrical office equipment.

• Occasional drives to site locations, occasional domestic travel.

• Exposure to biological fluids.

• Personal protective equipment required such as protective eyewear, garments, and gloves.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to work in an upright and /or stationary position for 6-8 hours per day.

• Repetitive hand movement of both hands with the ability to make fast, simple, repeated movements of the fingers, hands, and wrists to operate lab equipment.

• Occasional crouching, stooping, with frequent bending and twisting of upper body and neck.

• Ability to access and use a variety of computer software developed both in-house and off-the-shelf.

• Light to moderate lifting and carrying (or otherwise moves) objects including luggage and laptop computer with a maximum lift of 15-20 lbs.

• Regular and consistent attendance.

• Varied hours may be required.
