Job Summary:
The Executive Director, Heart & Vascular Service Line is responsible for the strategic and operational leadership of the Heart & Vascular programs across the health system. Reporting to the Vice President of the Heart & Vascular Service Line, the Executive Director ensures operational excellence, high-quality patient care, and the financial health of the service line. This position provides oversight of daily operations, including clinical quality, patient experience, safety outcomes, financial performance, and workforce engagement. The Executive Director collaborates with physician, nursing, and administrative leaders to advance integrated, patient-centered heart and vascular care that aligns with the organization's mission, vision, and key strategic objectives.

EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION:
A minimum of 4–6 years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare operations, preferably within an academic health system or integrated delivery network. Prior experience at the Director level or higher overseeing multidisciplinary clinical or service line operations. Experience managing cardiovascular or specialty service lines, including oversight of quality, finance, and clinical performance, preferred.

EDUCATION DESCRIPTION:
Master's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Nursing, or a related healthcare field. If Master's degree is in a non-healthcare related field then bachelor's degree must be in a healthcare related field.

SPECIAL SKILLS DESCRIPTION:
Strong business acumen with demonstrated ability to manage budgets, analyze data, and drive operational results. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively across clinical and administrative teams. Proven strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities in complex, matrixed healthcare environments. Demonstrated leadership presence and credibility with physicians, executives, and staff. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with performance analytics tools or dashboards.
