Responsibilities

  • Load and unload lumber and building materials using forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual handling techniques, ensuring safety and accuracy.
  • Safely operate commercial vehicles such as box trucks or drivers to deliver products to job sites or customers' locations.
  • Plan and follow efficient delivery routes to ensure timely arrivals while maintaining compliance with traffic laws and safety regulations.
  • Assist customers in selecting products, answer questions about materials, and provide exceptional customer service during pickups and deliveries.
  • Maintain accurate delivery documentation, including manifests, invoices, and delivery logs.
  • Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after trips to ensure safety standards are met; report any maintenance issues promptly.
  • Load and organize yard inventory for easy access and efficient retrieval of materials.
  • Support yard operations by moving stock within the warehouse or yard using forklifts or pallet jacks as needed.
  • Follow safety protocols at all times to prevent accidents during loading, unloading, or driving activities.
  • Communicate effectively with team members regarding schedules, deliveries, or any issues encountered on route or in the yard.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in warehouse work, heavy lifting, moving materials, or similar physical roles.
  • Valid driver's license
  • Delivery driver experience with route driving and load & unload responsibilities highly desirable.
  • Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, manual transmissions, and other warehouse equipment safely; certifications are a plus.
  • Strong customer service skills with a friendly attitude and clear communication abilities.
  • Physical stamina for heavy lifting and prolonged periods of standing, walking, or driving throughout the day.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures related to warehouse operations and vehicle operation.
  • Reliable transportation with a clean driving record; ability to adhere to scheduled routes diligently.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be active daily while making meaningful contributions through excellent service delivery
  • Must be 21 years of age

Pay: $ $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30.0 – 40.0 per week
