Behavior Technician / Registered Behavior Technician (ABA) | Virginia Beach, VA

Clinic-Based & In-Home | Full-Time or Part-Time | $17.00–$26.00 per hour

Help children build communication, social, and daily living skills through compassionate, evidence-based Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy. Autism Center of Excellence (AutismCOE) is hiring Behavior Technicians (BTs) and Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) to support children in both clinic and home environments in the Virginia Beach area.

Paid training is provided for candidates pursuing their RBT certification.

Position Details

Location: Virginia Beach, VA

Setting: Clinic-based and/or in-home

Schedule Options: Monday–Friday, 12:00 PM–7:00 PM (clinic or in-home) OR Monday–Friday, 12:00 PM–6:00 PM (clinic-based)

Employment Type: Full-time or part-time

Reports To: Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)

What You'll Do

Provide one-on-one ABA therapy in clinic and home settings

Implement individualized treatment and behavior plans under BCBA supervision

Collect and record accurate session data using digital tools

Support communication, social interaction, and independence skills

Maintain a positive, structured learning environment

Communicate professionally with clinical supervisors and caregivers

Who We're Looking For

Professional, reliable, and consistent with attendance

Willing to learn and accept clinical feedback

Strong communication and teamwork skills

Qualifications

Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Experience working with children (any setting/population)
  • Ability to complete training and background requirements
  • Dependable attendance and punctuality

Preferred (not required):

  • Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification
  • Experience in ABA, childcare, education, behavioral support, or human services

(Paid training available for non-certified candidates)

Compensation

Behavior Technician (Non-Certified): $17.00–$21.00 per hour

Registered Behavior Technician (RBT): $21.50–$26.00 per hour

(Based on experience, certification, and schedule availability)
