Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to patients, assisting with daily activities and ensuring a safe and comfortable environment. This role requires a strong commitment to patient care, effective communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Duties

  • Assist patients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding.
  • Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
  • Provide basic care for patients with special needs, including those with developmental disabilities or memory care requirements (e.g., Alzheimer's or dementia).
  • Support nursing staff in administering medications and treatments as directed.
  • Maintain patient records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Assist in the mobility of patients using equipment such as Hoyer lifts.
  • Ensure cleanliness and safety of patient environments in accordance with aseptic techniques.
  • Engage in ongoing education regarding patient care best practices and medical terminology.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in critical care, long-term care, or assisted living settings is preferred.
  • Experience working with diverse populations including geriatrics, pediatrics, or individuals requiring hospice care is beneficial.
  • Understanding of anatomy and physiology as well as medical documentation standards is essential.
  • Ability to provide compassionate caregiving while maintaining professionalism in all interactions.
