Business Deposit Product Specialist

Job Summary
The Business Deposit Product Specialist will support and enhance OnPoint's suite of business deposit products and services. They will drive the continued development, implementation, and optimization of business products and services, ensuring they meet the evolving needs of our business members. They will also mentor internal staff and train OnPoint business members.
Essential Functions
- Serve as the first point of contact for business members and internal staff regarding OnPoint's business deposit services.
- Develop and manage the onboarding process for new small business, commercial and nonprofit members, ensuring white glove service experience and a smooth integration into OnPoint's services.
- Coordinates the post-approval service set-up and implementation, leading member onboarding and training for treasury services users.
- Demonstrates, sets up, and educates treasury service users.
- Understands all technical components and functionality relating to business deposit services to include online banking, merchant services, account analysis, remote deposit capture, and ACH.
- Cultivates and maintains strong relationships with commercial and large nonprofit members, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions. Proactively reaches out to prospects to cultivate a relationship and ensuring exceptional service from the outset.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Business, Retail, Operations) to identify and recommend enhancements to existing treasury products and support the development of new offerings.
- Provide ongoing support and guidance to ensure successful product sales and adoption among business members.
- Serves as the primary contact for commercial and large nonprofit members for all treasury management needs.
- Support the creation of treasury policies and procedures that adhere to industry standards and promote the credit union's safety and soundness.
- Conduct and document annual and periodic reviews for ACH and RDC users, ensuring adherence to policy and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure thorough documentation processes are in place and are retained correctly, maintaining compliance with organizational standards.
- Provide mentorship and support to junior level employees, fostering professional growth and knowledge sharing.
- Travel, as required, to OnPoint branches or business member locations for on-site deposit product training and relationship building.
- Performs other duties or support as needed and outlined by the Manager, Treasury Services
Knowledge, Skills & Competencies
- Thorough knowledge of business products and services, to include ACH, remote deposit capture, merchant services, account analysis, positive pay, sweep accounts, bill pay, and online banking.
- General understanding of various business entities and their related authorities
- Ability to work within the Credit Union's core system, online banking, and all relevant systems associated with treasury management
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to communicate with effectively with all stakeholders at all organizational levels
- Demonstrates compliance with all banking regulations and understands NACHA rules.
- Acts with professionalism and possesses a member-focused attitude and philosophy.
- Proven attention to detail and ability to prioritize multiple tasks while meeting deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and implement effective solutions
- Adaptable to changing situations and environments.
Minimum Requirements
- High school diploma required; bachelor's degree preferred
- 5 years of prior banking experience, including internal and/or external customer service.
- 3 years of experience working with business treasury products required.
