We are seeking a seasoned and dedicated Senior/Lead Pharmacy Technician with at least 10 years of professional experience in retail/independent, hospital, long-term care (LTC), or critical care settings. Key Responsibilities

Lead and supervise daily activities of pharmacy technicians, ensuring precise medication preparation and dispensing according to hospital and regulatory protocols.

Support pharmacists in all aspects of medication management, including inventory control, medication storage, and order processing for LTC, critical care, and acute care units.

Prepare and compound sterile and non-sterile medications (including IV infusions) using proper aseptic techniques in compliance with USP standards.

Promote outstanding patient service by providing accurate medication information, addressing inquiries, and ensuring efficient intake and delivery processes.

Maintain accurate and complete documentation, including Medication Administration Records (MAR), medication histories, and related patient data.

Ensure adherence to all hospital policies and medical terminology standards related to medication handling, labeling, and patient safety.

Conduct and participate in quality assurance activities, such as audits on storage, labeling accuracy, and aseptic technique compliance.

Collaborate with pharmacists, nurses, and physicians to optimize medication therapy plans and support patient-specific interventions.

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum 10 years of progressive experience as a pharmacy technician in retail, hospital, acute care, or LTC environments.

Proven expertise in medication preparation, aseptic technique, and IV infusion compounding.

Strong knowledge of medical terminology, medication administration protocols, and regulatory compliance.

Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage teams, workflows, and priorities in high-volume settings.

Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational ability under pressure.

Proficiency with pharmacy management and documentation software systems.

Active Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB or equivalent) required; additional certifications in sterile compounding or aseptic techniques preferred.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on patient-centered service and collaboration.
