Kids at First (KAF) preschool is seeking a Full Time 4K teacher that is a Level 4 or higher Registry certified for the remainder of the school year, starting December 1st. KAF is a Christian preschool. Class times are 8-11:30 Monday through Thursday, with wraparound until 3:30.

When you join our team as a teacher you will:

  • Develop and ensure a safe, nurturing environment where children can play and learn.
  • Partner and communicate with parents, with a shared desire to provide the best care and education for their children.
  • Support your center's success; partner with center staff to achieve goals around enrollment, accreditation, and engagement.
  • Creating and implementing age appropriate lessons plans to promote intellectual, academic, social, emotional, and spiritual growth

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for working with children
  • Build warm, transparent relationships with families and coworkers to create a center atmosphere where play and learning happens.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, ensuring that the needs and documentation for each child are appropriately managed
  • Ability to communicate well with families providing open, honest, and transparent dialogue with families.
  • Create engaging and age-appropriate lesson plans that incorporate a variety of learning experiences, including play-based activities, process arts and crafts, music, and outdoor exploration.
  • Provide a nurturing and supportive environment where children feel safe, valued, and encouraged to express themselves.
  • Observe and assess each child's development and progress, and communicate with parents/guardians regularly to share updates and address any concerns.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to stay current with continuing education and best practices in early childhood education.
  • Creative, enthusiastic, and adaptable, with a passion for inspiring young minds and fostering a love of learning.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and contribute to a positive and supportive work environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills to maintain a structured childcare environment
  • Associate degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.
