Assistant Professor

The Assistant Professor in Shelter Medicine will be responsible for creating a clinical training program for veterinary students in a facility providing high volume, high quality clinical services for both the city and the public. This position will also be responsible for the development of collaborative graduate training programs in shelter medicine.
Required Qualifications
DVM degree and license to practice in California. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. 5+ years clinical experience Knowledge of and experience with high volume, high quality, spay/neuter programs and high volume, low cost veterinary services Experience with student training and supervision Experience with clinical graduate training program management, i.e. internships, residency programs, etc. Demonstrated record of relationship building within the animal sheltering community
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced degree ( MPH , MS, etc.) Board certification ( ACVPM , ABVP , etc.) Bilingual (Spanish/English) Ability to develop and maintain a scholarly research program.
