Communications 

Supports and achieves Chevron's goals by telling our story to key audiences to build an understanding of our industry and confidence in our knowledge, expertise and ability to achieve results the right way.  

We are seeking a candidate(s) who can effectively create communications that engage external and internal audiences through media relations, social/digital media, and internal communications.  

Key Roles and Responsibilities 

Support tasks related to corporate media relations, employee communications, executive communications, digital and social media engagement, events and brand management. 

Policy and Government Affairs 

Leads and influences policy development and advocacy on behalf of the corporation with key public stakeholders at the state, federal and international government levels.  

We are seeking a candidate(s) with an awareness of the implications of the US political structure and environment in which the energy sector operates. Also seeking experience in federal and/or international policy as well as an understanding of legislative and regulatory processes within the United States at the state and federal levels.  

Key Roles and Responsibilities  
Analyze policy/regulatory issues in countries where Chevron operates. Provide support on advocacy initiatives on Chevron's positions before government, trade, and other third-party organizations. Track and report on key U.S. and foreign policy issues in specific regions. When directed, prepare responses to outside inquiries on Chevron's positions on issues, and attend briefings and congressional hearings on foreign and domestic policy, legislative, or regulatory matters.  

Qualifications: 

To qualify, individuals must be a rising senior or graduate student and have or be pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree aligned with our functional areas. 

Location: 

The 2026 Corporate Affairs summer internships will be in Houston, Texas or Washington, D.C. Additional U.S. locations may be added based on business need. 

Compensation: 
The anticipated salary range for 2026 Corporate Affairs summer intern position is $26 - $36/hour. The selected candidate's compensation will be determined based on their skills, experience, and qualifications.
