Corporate Safety, Health, and Environmental Director

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Corporate Safety, Health, and Environmental Director to lead our organization's safety and environmental initiatives. This leadership role involves developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive safety programs to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, promote a culture of safety, and protect our employees and the environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in occupational health, OSHA standards, EPA regulations, workers' compensation law, and incident investigation techniques. This position offers an opportunity to influence organizational safety practices significantly and foster a safe working environment across all company operations.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and oversee corporate safety, health, and environmental policies aligned with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify hazards and ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other relevant laws.
- Lead incident investigations using root cause analysis to determine underlying issues and develop corrective actions.
- Manage workers' compensation claims processes in accordance with applicable laws and company policies.
- Design and deliver training programs on occupational health, safety procedures, and EHS best practices.
- Collaborate with management to integrate safety considerations into operational processes and project planning.
- Stay current on changes in safety legislation and environmental regulations to ensure ongoing compliance.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement in safety performance through leadership development and employee engagement initiatives.
Experience
- Proven experience in manufacturing or industrial environments with a strong understanding of OSHA standards and occupational health practices.
- Prior experience in developing training & development programs focused on EHS topics for diverse teams.
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP)
- Experience leading safety teams or departments within a corporate setting is preferred. This role is vital for fostering a safe workplace environment while ensuring regulatory compliance across all levels of the organization.
Pay: $120, $140,000.00 per year
