Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to join their mission-driven team in Phoenix. This pivotal role will manage AR processes and contribute to essential financial operations. Responsibilities:
  • Manage and maintain the company's accounts receivable ledger
  • Send out invoices and follow up with clients to ensure timely payment
  • Resolve billing discrepancies or issues with clients
  • Monitor outstanding balances and proactively manage collections to reduce delinquency
  • Process credit card payments and other forms of payment
  • Gather and evaluate credit data for customers to determine credit risk
  • Establish and maintain credit limits for new and existing customers
  • Prepare and submit reports on the status of outstanding receivables
  • Daily bank reconciliation
  • Accounts payable invoice processing and payments
  • Monthly reconciliation of company credit cards
  • Reconciliation of vendor statements
  • Work with compliance manager on sales tax exemptions and returns
  • Take part in inventory counts and reconciliation
  • Monthly journal entries
  • Prepare monthly account reconciliations
  • Assist in other month-end closing and accounting tasks as requested


Background Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Senior Accountant role
  • A high level of professionalism
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles
  • The ability to work in office Monday-Friday
