Johnson Service Group (JSG) is recruiting for a,
Junior Mechanical Design Engineer
, for a 12-month contract assignment supporting facility design at Hill Air Force Base near Ogden, UT. This
onsite
role offers a W2 hourly base rate with time and a half for overtime, per diem, and mobilization/demobilization. Our client is targeting a base rate up to $65.00/hour for this role.

**United States Citizenship is required.

Local candidates highly preferred.
Position Summary
Full time presence on project is required.**
This onsite role will support the Air Force Sentinel Program by supporting existing facility renovation and construction of new buildings.

Major Responsibilities

  • Prepare 2-D CAD Intelligent Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID's) based on sketches and marked up prints.
  • Review drawings and documents prepared by others to ensure incorporation of drafting standards, procedures, discipline standards, and other national standards, as required.
  • Responsible for data integrity of components list.
  • Execute schedule requirements while maintaining a high degree of quality in work product.

Education / Experience

  • Requires a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 2+ years of experience with industry-wide design/drafting tools such as AutoCAD, Bentley MicroStation, PDS2D, PDS3D, SmartPlant 2D/3D.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office software.
  • Experience working in a project team environment to resolve issues and improve processes.
  • Excellent oral and written communication, planning, and organizational skills.
