Position Title: Solution Architect

Location: Las Vegas, NV – Fully Onsite (Day 1) – Local Candidates Only, No Relocation

Duration: 12 months

Experience: 6–8 years

Role Overview

Serve as the primary technology leader and single point of contact between IT and the business for solution delivery. You will define the technology vision and strategy for assigned business domains, create solution architecture and high-level design documents, and lead implementation teams to deliver scalable, modern microservice-based solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Architecture & Design:
  • Create solution architectures, high-level design documents, and decompose solutions into domains.
  • Design REST-based microservice APIs and translate business requirements into technical specifications, epics, and user stories.
  • Present complex technical proposals to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Conduct proofs of concept (POCs) to evaluate emerging technologies and approaches.
  • Leadership & Collaboration:
  • Act as the single point of contact (SPOC) between IT and business stakeholders for assigned solutions.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers, Engineering Managers, and other Architects to shape the product roadmap and deliver new features.
  • Lead development teams during implementation, ensuring alignment with architectural standards and Agile best practices.
  • Promote re-use through inner-sourcing opportunities and drive adoption of emerging technologies.
  • Execution & Strategy:
  • Build and execute a technology vision and strategy for the solution or business domain.
  • Work across multiple projects, guiding teams through ambiguous requirements and translating them into clear roadmaps.
  • Recognize industry trends and introduce relevant technologies to the organization.

Required Qualifications

  • Education:
     Bachelor's degree in Technology, Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience:
     6–8 years of solution architecture experience including:
  • Creating solution architectures and high-level design documents.
  • API design, microservice architecture, and solution decomposition into domains.
  • Managing development teams and Agile/Lean delivery.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Deep understanding of software design principles and major architecture patterns.
  • Strong proficiency with 
    Java
     and frameworks such as 
    Spring/Spring Boot
    .
  • Expertise with 
    AWS
     services.
  • SQL and NoSQL DBMS (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis, MongoDB).
  • Containerization tools and technologies: 
    RedHat OpenShift
    , 
    Docker
    , 
    Kubernetes
    .
  • DevOps processes and CI/CD tools.
  • Soft Skills:
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and project management abilities.
  • Strong collaborative approach with proven ability to meet deadlines and deliver results.
