Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Utilize your experience in developing accurate estimates for HVAC projects, with a focus on piping and sheet metal systems.
  • Proficiently use estimating software toensure precision in cost calculations.
  • Estimate construction costs for both plan and speciified jobs, considering variations in project tyupes such as design build.
  • Handle projects ranging from $50,000 to $1,000,000, ensuring detailed and comprehensive estimates.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather necessary information for accurate estimations.
  • Review scrop of work documents including mechanical plans, specifications, client needs, design-build information, and other documents to prepare labor, matrial, and equipment estimates for projects.
  • Attend site visits and walk through as required.
  • Work with equipment and material vendors to develop pricing to meet the project needs.
  • Review subcontractors scorpe of work and receive pricing to meet the project requirements.
  • Determin and apply varous cost methods for estimates.
  • Organize and manage bid documentation requirements.
  • Communicate with engineers, architects and/or project managers about various technical details of a project.
  • Support project managers to assess job status, scope clarifications and change order support.
  • Comply with corporate policy on safety, work eithics and time constraints.
  • Plan ahead to meet bid date requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an HVAC estimator with strong background in estimating construction costs.
  • Familiarity with estimating software and the ability to adapt to new tools.
  • Expertise in estimating piping and sheet metal systems for diverse project types.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail to ensure precision in cost calcualtions.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Experience wiht Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Ability to review and understand bid documents, plan drawings and specifications.
