As a Shipper/Packer, you'll help ensure Veterans receive their prescription medications safely, accurately, and on time — every single day.Key Responsibilities Package Preparation: Select the correct shipping container, insert prescription documents, and use packing materials to ensure safe delivery. Sealing & Labeling: Properly seal and label each package with accuracy and care. Equipment Operation: Operate and monitor automated and manual packaging systems, respond to alerts, and use barcode scanners. Organization & Inventory: Keep your workspace clean and stocked with supplies; perform routine inventory checks. Safety & Compliance: Follow all VA and FSR safety guidelines, including those for hazardous medications or materials. Physical Tasks: Stand, walk, or sit for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly.Qualifications High school diploma or GED. Basic computer and typing skills. Ability to read and communicate clearly in English. Ability to meet production and accuracy standards. Physical ability to lift and move packages (up to 50 lbs).
