Job Overview
We are seeking a talented and personable Stylist to join our dynamic salon team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for beauty and hair care, with a strong focus on delivering exceptional customer service and creating personalized looks. This role offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your skills in hair styling, coloring, and grooming while contributing to a welcoming and professional environment. The Stylist will be responsible for providing a variety of salon services, maintaining high standards of sanitation, and fostering client relationships to ensure repeat business.
Responsibilities
- Perform professional hair styling, cutting, coloring, and finishing services tailored to client preferences
- Apply hair extensions
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in accordance with industry regulations
- Use salon software such as Acuity/Square for scheduling appointments, client records, and retail sales management
- Assist clients at the front desk with check-in/out procedures and product recommendations
- Manage retail sales through upselling products like hair care, styling tools, and cosmetics
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to a positive team environment
- Stay current with industry trends, new techniques, and product knowledge to provide innovative services
- Support store management in daily operations and promotional activities
Skills
- Proficiency in hair styling techniques including cutting, coloring, and finishing
- Experience with hair extensions and barbering skills preferred
- Knowledge of salon software systems such as Acuity for appointment booking and retail management
- Strong understanding of color theory for creating custom color solutions
- Excellent communication skills for engaging clients and providing personalized consultations
- Familiarity with sanitation protocols to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff
- Retail sales expertise with upselling strategies to enhance client experience and revenue
- Store management experience is a plus for leadership roles within the salon team
- Effective front desk skills including customer service, retail math, and appointment scheduling
- Mentoring abilities to support team development and skill enhancement
