Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting the financial health of our organization. This position requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and proficiency in various accounting software.

Duties

  • Prepare and maintain financial statements and reports, including balance sheets and income statements.
  • Perform accounts payable functions, ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments.
  • Conduct general ledger accounting, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Assist in corporate accounting tasks, including tax preparation and compliance.
  • Reconcile balance sheets and general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy.
  • Generate financial reports for management review, highlighting key insights and trends.
  • Collaborate with auditors during financial audits to provide necessary documentation.
  • Maintain organized financial records and documentation for easy retrieval.

Skills

  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar).
  • Strong skills in financial report writing to convey complex data clearly.
  • Experience with corporate accounting practices and principles.
  • Knowledge of balance sheet reconciliation processes and techniques.
  • Familiarity with accounts payable procedures and best practices.
  • Ability to perform general ledger accounting accurately.
  • Competence in general ledger reconciliation to ensure integrity of financial data.
  • Understanding of tax regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
