About the Role

BTC Power is seeking a Senior Java Developer to design, build, and maintain secure, high-performance applications for embedded and Linux environments. This role focuses on developing the software that powers our payment and transaction systems across EV charging technology.

The ideal candidate has strong Java expertise, familiarity with C++ for embedded integration, and experience with POS or payment systems. You will collaborate closely with firmware, backend, and QA teams to deliver secure, stable, and scalable software.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain embedded Java applications running on Linux platforms.
  • Integrate software with payment terminals, APIs, and backend systems.
  • Implement secure coding practices that meet PCI-DSS standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to POS, payment, and hardware interfaces.
  • Collaborate with firmware, backend, and QA teams to ensure stable releases.
  • Contribute to software architecture decisions and mentor junior developers.
  • Support cloud and API integration initiatives as needed.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of professional software development experience.
  • Strong proficiency in Java; experience with C++ for embedded or Linux systems preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with EMV, NFC, contactless, and encryption standards.
  • Familiarity with TCP/IP, serial, and USB communication protocols.
  • Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile workflows.

Preferred Experience

  • Development of cloud-connected or IoT-based applications.
  • Basic UI experience with JavaScript or TypeScript (React or Angular is a plus).
  • Strong analytical and debugging skills with production-level issue resolution experience.
