Senior Engineer, Hardware HPSC

This engineer will work in the CSG - Customer Support Group team which provides L3 engineering product support to HPDS customers worldwide.  Regular domestic and international travel is required in this position.  The job entails a mix of hands-on systems engineering and interpersonal communication skills. Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, Computer, and/or Systems Engineering skills and experience are valuable in the role.

osition Overview

This role is part of the CSG – Customer Support Group, providing Level 3 engineering product support to HPDS customers worldwide. The position combines hands-on systems engineering with strong interpersonal communication skills. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish plans, define approaches, and develop designs for moderately complex engineering problems.
  • Conduct engineering/scientific analysis and experimentation within defined strategies or products.
  • Perform hands-on work and, when appropriate, lead less senior technicians, lab specialists, and operators.
  • Modify, improve, and support existing engineering activities related to procedures, processes, systems, products, and components.
  • Act independently on most assignments with minimal supervision or technical guidance.
  • Serve as Team Leader on complex lab projects for development, testing, or field support of CF IJ products.
  • Provide Level 3 escalation support for customer issues, collaborating with field technicians and Level 2 support teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, Computer, or Systems) or equivalent experience.
  • 2–5 years of experience in electro-mechanical systems, preferably in the printing industry.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • Comfortable with frequent international travel and working in diverse environments.
  • Spanish language proficiency is highly preferred.
