JoURNEYMAN road Technician

Title: Road Technician Job Type: Hourly / Non-Exempt

Department: Service Location: Commerce City, CO 80022

Supervisor: Service Manager Compensation: DOE $30 TO $50

SUMMARY

As Road Technician for Southwest JCB, you will be an integral service department member. The road technician will diagnose and repair various JCB equipment and components in a road environment, including diagnosing, ordering parts, customer and warranty reporting, customer communications, and maintaining company assets. The position's primary focus is to [perform quality maintenance, diagnose, and troubleshoot equipment] while providing the highest level of customer service and satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and repair equipment and components.
  • Properly source and order parts to get the repair fixed the first time correctly.
  • Work in a road environment on various JCB machines.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on JCB equipment in a road environment as directed.
  • Communicate the progress of repairs with the Service Manager and the customer to ensure top customer satisfaction.
  • Use of company vehicles and special tooling properly, including maintaining all company-owned assets in a clean and safe manner
  • Completing all paperwork promptly, including work orders, parts orders, time, etc.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
  • Other duties and projects as assigned by direct management.
Qualifications

Education/Additional Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience repairing and maintaining construction equipment.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent and basic math skills.
  • Computer literate with the ability to process information.
  • Ability to communicate, prioritize and maintain time management.
  • Capable of accomplishing tasks independently without direct supervision.
  • Physically able to perform duties and lift up to 75 lbs.
  • Maintain a great attitude toward work.
  • Adheres to company policies, procedures, and practices as required.
  • Acceptable driving record.
  • A history of safe work habits.
  • Driven, self-motivated, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Valid Driver's License/Acceptable Driving Record.
