Job Overview

We are seeking a friendly and motivated Smoke Shop Retail Sales Associate to join our team. This role involves providing excellent customer service, assisting customers with product selections, and maintaining an organized and inviting store environment. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, retail experience, and a passion for delivering a positive shopping experience. Bilingual abilities and supervising experience are a plus, helping to serve a diverse customer base effectively.

Duties

  • Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding products that meet their needs
  • Operate the POS system efficiently for sales transactions, returns, and exchanges
  • Conduct product demos to educate customers about new or featured items
  • Upsell products to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales
  • Maintain proper merchandising by organizing displays and ensuring shelves are stocked
  • Handle stock replenishment and inventory management tasks
  • Ensure accurate cash handling and perform cashier duties with attention to detail
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing questions, concerns, and special requests
  • Maintain phone etiquette when assisting customers via phone calls or inquiries
  • Assist in supervising other team members if applicable, ensuring smooth store operations

Experience

  • Previous retail sales experience, preferably in a grocery store or similar retail environment
  • Familiarity with POS systems, cashiering, and retail math calculations
  • Experience with merchandising, stocking, and product demos is advantageous
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with diverse customers
  • Bilingual skills are highly desirable to serve a broader customer base
  • Supervising experience is a plus but not required; leadership qualities are valued
  • Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately and upselling effectively

This position is specifically for 4 night shifts:

  • Tuesday: 4PM-10PM
  • Wednesday: 4PM-10PM
  • Saturday: 3:15PM-10PM
  • Sunday: 3:15PM-10PM

This schedule may be flexible in the future, but as of right now, it is fixed. Candidates are only encouraged to apply if they can work all the above shifts.

Pay: From $13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25.5 per week
