Account Executive

This is a position based in Nashville, TN.

JOB PURPOSE

  • The PR and Social Media Account Executive serves as the day-to-day lead for the client's public relations and social media efforts. This role manages daily client communication and execution of strategic initiatives.
  • This position plays a key role in implementing integrated PR and social strategies, analyzing performance data to inform decisions, and collaborating across internal teams and external partners to drive results.
  • The ideal candidate is proactive, all-in attitude and detail-oriented. Someone who can manage multiple priorities, build strong client relationships, and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Education/Experience:

  • Based in Nashville, TN (with local travel required)
  • A degree in journalism, marketing, communications, public relations or a related field.
  • 2–4 years of experience in public relations, social media, or marketing (agency experience preferred)

Skills/Knowledge/Ability:

  • Strong collaboration and communication skills.
  • Great at time management and multitasking.
  • Comfortable leading client calls and presenting to groups.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.Strategic thinker with creative problem-solving skills

Supervisory Responsibilities: No

Reporting Relationship: The public relations account executive reports to the public relations account director.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve as the day-to-day contact for client accounts, ensuring smooth execution of PR, community engagement and social media initiatives.
  • Day-to-day management of clients' social media channels.
  • Reacts to social media trends in real time to build brand presence and drive consumer engagement.
  • Demonstrates a strong ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
  • Provides recommendations on social media strategy to engage target audiences and direct social media content development and execution.
  • Builds and maintains lists for social media influencers across markets.
  • Coordinates social media influencer partnerships on behalf of the client.
  • Leverages existing media relationships and cultivates new contacts locally, nationally and within business and industry media.
  • Builds and maintains media lists for clients across markets.
  • Develops media materials, including key messages, news releases, media alerts and talking points..
  • Monitor, analyze, and report on PR and social media performance metrics, providing insights and recommendations.
  • Maintains a keen understanding of industry trends affecting clients and makes appropriate recommendations regarding communication strategies.
  • Connects with influential media outlets and journalists to place stories about client news and other initiatives.
  • Support community relations and charitable initiatives on behalf of the brand.
  • Educates and supports client and internal teams regarding public relations strategy value and best practices.
  • Works closely with key community partners and charitable organizations on behalf of the brand.
  • Provides on-site support at client events and for media interviews.
  • Travels (as necessary) on behalf of clients to events, meetings, conferences and presentations.
  • Hustles. There is no busy season or light season. We are busy, and we move quickly. This job requires relentless hustle and a roll-up-your-sleeves-and-do-your-part mentality.
