Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Manager to oversee daily operations at our bustling restaurant. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a comprehensive understanding of food service management, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences. This role involves supporting the management team in maintaining high standards of food quality, safety, and service excellence across casual dining, quick service, or fine dining environments. The Assistant Manager will play a vital role in supervising staff, managing inventory, and ensuring smooth shift operations to uphold our reputation for outstanding hospitality.

Duties

  • Assist in managing daily restaurant operations, including supervising staff and ensuring efficient workflow during shifts
  • Oversee food preparation processes, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards
  • Manage POS systems for accurate cash handling and order processing
  • Supervise kitchen and front-of-house teams, including staff training, development, and performance evaluations
  • Control inventory levels, monitor food safety procedures, and manage food production to minimize waste
  • Handle customer inquiries and resolve complaints promptly to maintain high satisfaction levels
  • Support budgeting efforts and assist in cost control measures to optimize restaurant profitability
  • Ensure compliance with health regulations and safety protocols across all operational areas
  • Participate in interviewing potential staff members and contribute to hiring decisions

Experience

  • Proven experience in restaurant management or supervisory roles within quick service rolls
  • Extensive knowledge of food handling, safety standards, and culinary operations
  • Hands-on experience with POS systems.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with a background in team management, training & development, and staff supervision
  • Background in food industry management including kitchen management, hospitality management, or food service management
  • Prior roles involving shift management, customer service excellence, and food safety compliance are highly desirable
