Position Overview
We are seeking experienced Investor Acquisition Agents to join our new fundraising team responsible for identifying and securing investors—primarily in the United States—for Fio Capital's international corporate bonds (ranging from $100,000 to $10M). Agents will leverage their established networks to attract family offices, high-net-worth individuals, and other investors with an interest in international and emerging-market opportunities.
Agents must possess the appropriate brokerage licenses and certifications required to receive commission-based compensation.
Agents will earn a

on all successfully raised funds. They will report directly to Fio Capital's U.S. representative, Matthew McLean, and will receive company materials and training.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, target, and engage potential investors—especially family offices, high-net-worth individuals/families, and investors interested in international and emerging markets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing investors to maximize fundraising success.
- Present and communicate Fio Capital's corporate bond offering, investment strategy, and impact across Africa.
- Lead and coordinate investor meetings, presentations, and roadshows (virtual and in-person as needed).
- Collaborate with Fio Capital leadership to ensure consistent messaging and compliance with relevant regulations.
- Track outreach, investor engagement, and progress toward fundraising targets.
- Provide regular updates and reports to the U.S. representative.
- Handle all investor information with professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality.
Qualifications & Desired Experience
- Demonstrated experience raising capital, particularly from investors interested in international or emerging-market opportunities.
- Established network among venture capital, private equity, institutional investors, and high-net-worth individuals/families in North America.
- Appropriate licenses/certifications to receive commission-based compensation.
- Flexible schedule and strong self-management skills.
- Strong knowledge of capital markets, investor behavior, and financial instruments (corporate bonds preferred).
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation abilities.
- Proven ability to work independently, meet fundraising goals, and manage multiple relationships simultaneously.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, business, marketing, or a related field preferred—but a proven ability to raise capital is more important.
- High integrity, professionalism, and client service orientation.
Compensation
This is a commission-based role awarding
2.5%–3.0%
of the total value of all funds raised, offering significant earning potential tied directly to performance.
Additional Information
- Training and company materials will be provided.
- Agents will receive ongoing support from Fio Capital's U.S. representative and leadership team in South Africa.
- Remote work arrangement with opportunities to represent Fio Capital at industry events and investor meetings.
How to Apply
Qualified candidates with a strong track record in investor acquisition and a robust investment-community network are encouraged to apply immediately. Please submit your resume and a brief cover letter outlining your relevant experience and investor network.
