Job Overview

Our clients live in an intentional community with a multitude of social activities. Exceptional training will be provided.

Duties

  • Assist clients with daily activities, provide coaching and support their independence and dignity.
  • Provide medication reminders and ensure adherence to prescribed health routines under supervision or guidance.
  • Help with making nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs.
  • Perform light housekeeping tasks including laundry, cleaning, and organizing to maintain a safe and comfortable living environment.
  • Offer companionship through engaging conversations, recreational activities, and emotional support to enhance mental well-being.
  • Monitor clients' health status, observe for any changes or signs of distress, and report findings promptly to family members.
  • Support clients with community engagement and access to essential services.
  • Follow care plans meticulously while adhering to safety protocols and privacy standards at all times.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience is welcomed but not necessary since training is provided. Applicant must have an interest in learning how to help our clients learn new skills and have a passion for helping enhance our clients well being.
  • Ability to assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), personal hygiene, and meal preparation.
  • Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients, families, and other individuals in our intentional community..
  • Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to improve clients' quality of life through attentive care.
  • Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and efficiently; experience with emergency medicine or trauma center environments is advantageous.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation may be required for client outings or appointments.
