PCC's clients include New York State and City agencies such as DOT, DEP, DDC, DPR, EDC, and SCA among others.We are currently seeking a qualified Heavy CivilProject Managerto join our team for an exciting and highly visible project.The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading the project team and has at least 15+ years heavy/civil general contacting construction experience on a NYCDDC, NYSDOT and/or NYCDOT construction project, and prior experience managing a team on at least 1 project > $75M. To be successful, this candidate should feel comfortable taking on many tasks that require various skills and appropriately prioritize those tasks' completion.Responsibilities:Project Manageris responsible for the overall direction, completion, and financial outcome of complex construction projects. In addition, responsible for providing technical engineering and information to ensure construction work complies with all engineering standards to support projectUnderstanding and familiarity with NYC Heavy Civil type projects IE: Utility work, Waste/Stormwater sewer & Watermain workEstablish and maintain working relationships with owners, agencies, subcontractors, inspectors, etc., providing customer service to develop long-term partnerships with client baseAble to comprehend and administer company's corporate safety program which provides for a safe work environment for all self-performed and subcontracted operations. Provide observations, attend safety mtgs and compliance to each field operation. Comply, understand, and support corporate safety initiatives to ensure a safe work environmentAbility to perform accurate project revenue and cost financial forecasting to ensure corporate profitability goals are met. Coordinate with estimators and project controls group to establish budget. Lead estimating efforts on vertically integrated projects to ensure accurate and consistent bid to build processCoordinate with project team to develop comprehensive plan for project start up and successful kick-offEnsure proper job controls, i.e., quantities, costs, revenue, and schedule are maintainedGenerate and/or adapt to company quality requirements and culture; that recognizes the effect of quality on all operationsAbility to support field superintendent & field foreman/labor crews to ensure productivity, efficient use of materials & equipment, and contractual performance of the project are met, for all self-performed and subcontracted operations. Oversee and manage assigned subcontractorsAbility to manage document control items, procurement, assist to process subcontract and material progress estimates, engineering preplanning- such as work plans, submittals, quantity tracking, engineering during execution of work – such as RFI's, identify conflicts, production review, cost assistance in monthly cost reviews & quarterly forecasts & scheduling assistanceCan manage a staff of up to 10 full-time employees including hiring, terminating, and completing performance reviews. Ensure accurate construction reports for the job allowing for continuous improvement in performanceQualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related fieldMinimum 15 years of relevant and progressive experience in project management in the heavy civil general contractor construction industryThe ideal candidate will have at least 15+ years heavy/civil general contacting construction experience on a NYCDDC, NYSDOT and/or NYCDOT construction project, and prior experience managing a team on at least 1 project > $75MFamiliarity with standard construction rules, regulations, best practices and performance standards.Working knowledge of construction equipment and techniques, drawing and specifications, building materials and required standards applicable to discipline.Proficient in Microsoft Office and general computer softwareDemonstrated knowledge of construction, engineering and architecture principlesAbility to budget, schedule, negotiate and control costsHigh degree of familiarity with contract and subcontract documents, terms and conditionsStrong leadership, team building and management skillsAbility and willingness to abide by Perfetto Contracting's Code of Conduct on a daily basis.Valid driver's license and ability to drive.Valid OSHA 30Base Salary:$160,000-$210,000 based on experience and competencyWe offer a competitive salary commensurate with experience, a comprehensive benefits package, opportunities for training and advancement and a positive work environment in which you can utilize and enhance your professional skills.PCC is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
