Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our healthcare team. Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
  • Conduct patient assessments, including vital signs, intake, and medical history documentation.
  • Assist with IV infusion, catheterization, tube feeding, and other nursing procedures.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Educate patients and their families on health management, medication administration, and post-care instructions.
  • Participate in triage processes and manage acute pain management strategies.
  • Support patients with developmental disabilities, dementia care, Alzheimer's care, and senior care needs.
  • Ensure infection control practices are upheld within the clinical environment.

Requirements

  • Valid Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license in the state of practice.
  • Experience in critical care, long-term care, assisted living, or home care settings is preferred.
  • Familiarity with EMR systems such as Epic, Cerner, eClinicalWorks or Athenahealth is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding as well as medical terminology is essential.
  • Strong skills in patient assessment, medication administration, phlebotomy, and basic life support techniques.
  • Experience working in various healthcare environments such as hospitals (including Level I & II Trauma Centers), outpatient clinics, or nursing homes is beneficial.
  • Ability to perform physical examinations and diagnostic evaluations effectively.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for working with patients of all ages including pediatrics and geriatrics.
