We're seeking a Senior Software Engineer who thrives in building large-scale, high-performance SaaS applications. In this role, you'll take ownership of key parts of our platform, contribute to architectural design decisions, and work on major initiatives that shape the future of Uplifter's products.

You'll join a collaborative, fast-paced environment where you'll work closely with our Chief Product Officer and cross-functional teams to modernize our systems, unify product architecture, and deliver features that directly impact thousands of users.

This is a hands-on position where you'll write code daily, influence design and architecture, and mentor others as we scale.

• Develop and maintain core systems using PHP and Python (Django) as primary backend frameworks.
• Design and evolve architecture to improve scalability, performance, and reliability across multiple SaaS environments.
• Integrate and enhance systems that connect backend services with modern frontend frameworks (Angular).
• Ensure data integrity and security by applying best practices in design, storage, and compliance.
• Document and standardize code, architecture, and processes to support long-term maintainability and collaboration.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.

Experience

• 7+ years of professional software development experience, ideally within SaaS or multi-tenant platforms.
• Strong backend development expertise in PHP and Python (Django).
• Solid understanding of PostgreSQL and MySQL, including schema design and query optimization.
• Experience building and maintaining APIs, microservices, and large-scale distributed systems.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in backend architecture, API development, and performance tuning.
• Experience with Angular, Docker, Kubernetes, and modern CI/CD pipelines preferred.
• Familiarity with AWS or other cloud environments.

Soft Skills

• Analytical problem-solver who enjoys tackling complex system challenges.
• Excellent communicator and collaborator with cross-functional teams.
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment.
• Strong sense of ownership and accountability for code quality and outcomes.

• Experience in system refactoring or platform migration projects.
• Understanding of data security and privacy best practices for SaaS applications.
• Prior experience in sports-tech or other high-transaction SaaS industries.
