Job Summary

Cole Technologies Group is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented ACI Concrete Technician to perform field testing and inspections for construction projects throughout Southern Westchester County. This role is ideal for candidates with hands-on field experience who hold the required ACI certifications and are looking to grow within the Construction or Civil Engineering field.

Responsibilities

  • Perform field testing of concrete, aggregates, mortar, grout, soils, and masonry materials according to ASTM and project specifications.
  • Collect, demold, and properly handle concrete samples in the field.
  • Record accurate test results and maintain all field documentation and reports.
  • Follow proper safety protocols on all job sites and adhere to company procedures.
  • Calibrate testing equipment and report any issues to the Lab Manager or supervisor.
  • Communicate effectively with project teams and clients as needed.
  • Maintain equipment, tools, and company-issued devices.

Required Certifications

  • ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician – Grade I
  • ACI Concrete Construction Special Inspector

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent, Associates Degree Preferred (Civil, Mechanical, Environmental)
  • 1–2 years of field or lab experience in concrete testing (preferred).
  • Ability to read and interpret ASTM standards and project specifications.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy when performing tests and completing reports.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently in the field with minimal supervision.
  • OSHA 10-hour Certification (required or willingness to obtain).
  • NICET or ICC Soils Certification (preferred).
  • Reliable transportation to and from job sites.

Skills

  • Strong observational and analytical skills.
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Comfortable using portable electronic devices and company-issued software.
  • Professional, dependable, and safety-conscious.

Schedule

  • Full-time
