As a Water Mitigation Technician at First Restoration, you will be a crucial part of our emergency water mitigation services, overseeing daily operations and ensuring the highest quality control standards. This role involves responding to water damage emergencies during and after business hours, conducting efficient demolition of affected areas, and implementing top-notch mold remediation protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond promptly to emergency water mitigation calls, showcasing your expertise both during and after regular business hours.
  • Execute demolition of water-damaged areas using a variety of hand and power tools.
  • Implement IH mold remediation protocols, reviewing estimates and engineered controls for effective abatement.
  • Maintain stringent quality control on all emergency service mitigation jobs, adhering to IICRC S500 guidelines.
  • Utilize digital and infrared imaging for comprehensive photo documentation.
  • Monitor equipment and material inventories, ensuring optimal levels for efficient operations.
  • Engage with customers through phone and email communication, providing exceptional service and gathering necessary data.
  • Collaborate with estimators and adjusters, fostering effective communication throughout the mitigation process.
  • Regularly report daily activities to management and maintain accurate tracking of water mitigation data.
  • Demonstrate your ability to accurately sketch mitigation areas and create effective drying plans.

Skills Required:

  • Proven ability to multitask and deliver results under pressure.
  • Expertise in assessing various water damage situations and implementing drying plans.
  • Proficient operation of thermal imaging equipment and hygrometers.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Excellent computer skills, including tablet use, Excel, and job management software.
Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • IICRC Water Restoration Technician Certification.
  • Mold certification is preferred.
  • High School diploma.
  • Prior experience in the water, mold, and fire restoration industry.
  • Additional IICRC certifications (AMRT, FSRT & ASD) are preferred.
  • Construction and customer service experience.
  • Familiarity with OSHA and PPE guidelines.
  • Valid Driver's License.
