ACCOUNT SUPERVISOR, PUBLIC RELATIONS

TruePoint's Account Supervisor on our Marcom team is a key leadership role responsible for accounts, people, and client service and management. The ideal candidate has deep experience implementing high-impact marketing communications programs for both consumer and business-to-business brands.

They know how to build and implement strategic programs that generate meaningful results for multiple clients. This individual has a proven track record of providing excellent client service and client retention. The candidate should be driven, savvy, a team player, and solution-oriented.

We're seeking a team leader who genuinely cares about propelling others forward. This individual will play a central role in the talent management and development of their direct reports.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, building strong relationships throughout the organization and ensuring high-quality service delivery. Provide high-impact strategic counsel and recommendations to clients.
  • Manage day-to-day client activities, including communication, research, planning, implementation and evaluation of marketing activities, and paying careful attention to budgets, resources, deadlines, and client expectations. Have the ability to multitask in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Deliver high-quality written and verbal content and present persuasively.
  • Bring a big-picture view to developing and executing strategic programs that meet clients' business and marketing goals, predicting and planning outcomes, and directing efforts for meaningful results.
  • Consistently secure high-quality, high-impact media opportunities for clients bringing a strong awareness and understanding of the media landscape.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key journalists (including national media), influencers, and other stakeholders to drive media coverage and brand awareness.
  • Support clients during crisis situations with clear, concise strategies and recommendations.
  • Oversee client budget and monthly billing and financial forecasting. Manage financial metrics, including utilization, scopes, and profitability.
  • Effectively upsell clients to grow account revenue. Lead new business efforts to acquire new clients, including research and proposal preparation.
  • Be an excellent and skilled writer. Possess a strong attention to detail and the ability to coach others in writing. Be able to effectively develop media materials that follow AP style and are aligned with client strategy.
  • Plan and execute media and other events.
  • Collaborate effectively across the agency with other internal teams.
  • Build a high-performing, highly-skilled, and engaged team. Delegate and project management effectively with the team.
  • Create high-level positioning and messaging for clients.
  • Effectively manage, coach, and develop team members with a focus on creating a great employee experience and retention. Proactively identify beneficial training and development opportunities.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of public relations and/or corporate communications experience
  • 2+ years of proven project management experience
  • 2+ years of direct experience supervising people and team management experience
  • 3+ years of experience managing clients, including planning, budgeting, and utilization
  • Expertise with marketing communications, content marketing, social media, and paid media, preferred
  • Excellent writing, editing, and presentation skills
  • True passion for brand storytelling through social media, branded content, blogs, and beyond
  • Deep industry knowledge and media relationships
  • Understanding of complex products, services, and solutions
