Description

Your Mission

The Quality Assurance Engineer at SBS CyberSecurity ensures the effectiveness and security of developed and published code, advocating for quality and risk management in every release. This role supports SBS's mission to empower organizations to manage cybersecurity risks through innovative solutions, continuous learning, and a collaborative, client-focused approach. This role will focus on testing and reviewing web applications to ensure high standards of accuracy and maintainability are enforced. What You'll Do

•    Identify, collaborate on, and track defects, issues and risk for projects and releases. 

•    Create, maintain, and execute automated functional and regression testing suites providing regular status updates to the team. 

•    Create, document, and execute detailed test plans and test scripts (automated and manual) on business and system requirements. 

•    Conduct post-implementation testing. 

•    Support Customer Success, as the first line of response to questions. 

•    Review all incoming tickets for completeness accuracy, and if appropriate, add in relevant stack traces. 

•    Review and assist with the creation of release communications. 

•    Interface with other departments to ensure quality throughout the SDLC. 

•    Suggest tools and processes to increase performance and quality of testing. 

•    Promote a culture of security and continuous improvement. 

•    Utilizing AI tools to enhance daily work task efficiency and productivity. 

Qualifications

What You Bring

•    High School diploma, required. 

•    Three to five years' experience/education in software development/quality assurance or a similar field. 

•    Knowledge of programming languages and technologies, preferably JavaScript, C#, Angular JS, SQL, JSON, or .NET. 

•    Strong written and verbal communication skills. 

•    Strong adherence to testing procedures and occasionally working under tight deadlines. 

•    Detail-oriented individual who considers multiple factors in the decision-making process. 

Bonus points for:

•    Associates or Bachelors degree preferred 

•    Experience with Microsoft Azure DevOps and Repos. 

•    Familiarity working with, developing, and troubleshooting relational databases. 

•    Familiarity in front-end and back-end development. 

•    Knowledge in cybersecurity practices is a plus. 

•    Experience with creating automated testing scripts. (Cypress)

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no supervisory responsibilities. 

Additional Details

This is a full-time position. This role would require occasional travel. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. On rare occasions, this position may require some after-work hours due to workload or tight deadline.

Working Conditions

Primarily remote-based with some travel required. The role involves working with management, various business units, and clients to protect data and information from cyber-attacks. 

Physical Demands 

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.  While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to use hands to finger, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms.  The employee frequently is required to sit, use keyboard and mouse (or alternative input device), use telephone, and drive.  Employee will frequently lift 0-10 lbs and occasionally lift, up to 50 lbs. 

Travel 

This position requires up to 25% travel. Valid driver's license required. Must also qualify for SBS insurance coverage.
