Manager, Workforce Readiness

Job Purpose:
- The Manager of Workforce Readiness at Goodwill Industries of Dallas Inc. is responsible for overseeing and enhancing workforce development programs to ensure participants are equipped with the necessary skills and resources to succeed in the job market. This role involves strategic planning, program management, and collaboration with community partners to maximize the impact of workforce readiness initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive workforce readiness programs that align with the organization's mission and goals.
- Lead and manage a team of workforce development professionals, providing guidance and support to achieve program objectives.
- Collaborate with local businesses, educational institutions, and community organizations to create partnerships that enhance program offerings and participant outcomes.
- Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness, utilizing data to make informed decisions and improvements.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards in workforce development.
- Prepare and manage budgets for workforce readiness programs, ensuring efficient use of resources.
- Report on program progress and outcomes to senior management and stakeholders.
- Stay informed about industry trends and best practices to continuously improve program quality and relevance.
- Provide career counseling and support to program participants, helping them to achieve their employment goals.
Required Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
Required Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in workforce readiness, human resources, or a related field.
- Proven track record of managing workforce development programs.
- Experience in collaborating with community organizations and educational institutions.
- Demonstrated experience in leading and developing teams.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Strong leadership and managerial skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with diverse groups.
- Proficient in data analysis and reporting to assess program effectiveness and make informed decisions.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
- Ability to develop and implement strategic plans for workforce readiness initiatives.
- Knowledge of labor market trends and workforce development best practices.
