Job Summary

Dogtopia, the industry leader in dog daycare, boarding, and spa services has an immediate opening for an energetic, organized, business-minded individual to lead our team as General Manager. The ideal candidate will oversee all aspects of Doggie daycare and boarding ensuring exceptional customer service and a motivated team environment. This role requires a proactive leader who thrives in fast-paced settings, possesses extensive pet industry knowledge, and is committed to delivering safe, healthy, and fun experiences for our dogs. As the driving force behind daily operations, you will foster a positive workplace culture, optimize financial performance, and uphold the highest standards of dog safety and quality.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise staff recruitment, training, development, and performance evaluations to build a skilled and motivated team.
  • Implement effective shift management strategies to ensure smooth service flow during peak hours while maintaining high standards of customer satisfaction.
  • Manage CRM systems such as Sales force for accurate order processing, sales tracking, and reporting.
  • Enforce dog safety regulations and ensure compliance with Dogtopia practices through rigorous staff training and execution.
  • Ensures success in the following:​ Enrolled Parent Count (EPC)​, Weekly Parent Spend (WPS)​, Frequency, Retention, Attrition​
  • Oversee budgeting activities including cost control, labor management, and financial reporting to meet business objectives.
  • Coordinate daycare events as needed to expand revenue streams.
  • Maintain excellent customer service standards by addressing Dog parent concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Conduct staff interviews and onboarding processes to select qualified candidates aligned with company values.
  • Foster a positive team environment through ongoing training & development initiatives focused on pet handling skills and leadership excellence.
  • Manage procurement of all supplies at the store
  • Monitor performance metrics regularly to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.

Skills

  • Extensive experience in pet industry and specifically Dog daycare and boarding environments.
  • Proven leadership skills in supervising teams, conducting training sessions, and managing staff performance effectively.
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle guest concerns diplomatically.
  • Experience in pet daycare/boarding management including shift scheduling, budgeting, cost control, and operational planning.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills for interviewing candidates, training staff, and collaborating with vendors or stakeholders.

Base Pay: $ $32.00 per hour
